What happened in Masonic History Today?

Due to such an engaging interview the time ran a bit lengthy this week so decided to cut the MasonryToday article.  They will be back next time but until then pay them a visit at www.MasonryToday.com

In this episode, we chat this time with Dylan Kuhlman, the Archivist for the Grand Lodge of Kansas who gives an inside perspective of the progress in archives.  The interesting thing about Dylan’s position with the Grand Lodge is that he is actually a Profane!  However, however he is bringing some very impressive experience, dedication, and overall passion to the table and to the mission of saving and sharing the Masonic history within the state of Kansas.  He came in to a mountainous job at hand but has taken it head on.  You will defiantly want to be in on this week’s conversation.

As you may have heard I was featured as a special lunchtime presenter for the Midwest Conference on Masonic Education this past weekend in Topeka, Ks. This even was a HUGE sucess and happy to report the presentation went over extremly well.  I want to give a big shoutout to a couple die hard Historical Light fans, Mark and Bill, that jumped in the car for a roadtrip from Nebraska to come down and see me speak.  That meant the world. Several others tried to make the trip down but dates didnt allign which I more than understand.  You all are amazing and I appreciate the support from each of you more than you know.

Bro. Patrick Craddock had an EPIC presentation at the conferecne that I can not go without highlighting.  He spoke on the history of the Masonic apron.  As a history nerd this one had my FULL attention and I never want to wear a "community apron" ever again.  If you have not gotten to hear him speak you need to make it a point!

In this episode,  we sit down with Bro. Walter H. Hunt, the Grand Historian for the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts as he brings us to light on the history of Freemasonry within his state.  You are sure to love this episode as Brother Hunt is another one of those guys you could easily chat with for days.  It is clear to see his passion and devotion to the work of the craft.

Alex has another big speaking engagement coming soon on August 19th in Topeka, Ks.  He will be presenting at the Midwest Conference on Masonic Education.  This is a large, respected, and quality conference between 13 midwestern Masonic jurisdictions.  This event is rarely held in Kansas and is featuring a pretty epic speaker line up including Bro. Powers as a special lunchtime presenter who will be speaking on the topic “Examining the Craft: Then, Now, and Yet to Come”. Get your tickets TODAY!
